1. Fruity Fragrances (Aquolina, Prada)
Summer is all about sweet & fruity scents! I have always been a fan of Aquolina’s “Pink Sugar” and its sweet aroma of caramel, cotton candy, vanilla, and so many other delicious scents. Another great summer fragrance is Prada’s “Candy” as it is the perfect blend of Caramel, Musk, Vanilla, and Benjoin. Continue reading “Summer Beauty Essentials”
Trending: Clip-In Bangs
One major hair trend this spring is edgy/razor cut bangs. However, as trends tend to come and go, the brave souls that cut their bangs are stuck growing them out after the season and that’s not so fun! So clip-in bangs have become a huge sought after product, and I am already on board! Continue reading “Trending: Clip-In Bangs”
Review: Dolce & Gabbana Provocative Blush
Dolce & Gabbana’s luminous cheek color in “provocative” is a cool toned barbie pink matte blush. Of the several other available colors in this blush, provocative stands out from the rest, and shall we say..lives up to it’s name! Continue reading “Review: Dolce & Gabbana Provocative Blush”
Review: Lime Crime’s D’Lilac Lipstick
Brand controversy aside, I wanted to share my honest opinion of Lime Crime’s “D’Lilac” lipstick. First off, what girl doesn’t love unicorns? I was sold on this product before I even looked at the shades it came in. The ever-so-adorable purple lipstick tubes are decorated with a mirror-like glittery logo, and of course, a unicorn! Continue reading “Review: Lime Crime’s D’Lilac Lipstick”
Review: Essie “Avenue Maintain”
With the release of Essie’s Spring 2013 collection, nail fanatics everywhere are searching left and right to get their paws on at least one of these perfect pastel polishes. I luckily was able to snag the last “Avenue Maintain” and not till I applied the polish did I really realize why it was selling out everywhere. Continue reading “Review: Essie “Avenue Maintain””
White nails: A do or don’t?
I’ll admit, I’ve never been a fan of white nails. Even back in 2009 when everyone and their mother (yes I’m looking at you, Kris Jenner) was sporting the milky hue after it was worn all over the Chanel runway, I still did not find it flattering! And Chanel could never do wrong! But with my upcoming Los Angeles trip approaching, I just wanted a fresh and somewhat neutral color, so I gave Essie’s “Blanc” a try! Continue reading “White nails: A do or don’t?”
Review: American Apparel’s “Mannequin” Nail Polish
After a few years of wild and colorful nail trends, it’s nice to go back to the basics once in a while, and what better way to do that than with a complimentary nude color? Even as a loyal Essie fan, I must say that their wide selection of nude colors are never opaque enough for my liking. Most of their nude shades require several coats just to cover up the actual nail from showing through, and as any nail polish lover knows, it’s never smart to apply more than 2 coats. So I had to look elsewhere for the “perfect nude shade.” Continue reading “Review: American Apparel’s “Mannequin” Nail Polish”
How-To: Create a Makeup Brush Holder
I’m assuming if you’ve ever stepped foot in a Sephora store, you KNOW where I got the idea for this DIY brush holder! All of the Sephora brand brushes and other beauty accessories are on display in little jars filled with tons of tiny beads that allow for the product to stand up-right. Well, it just so happens that Michaels Arts & Crafts store carries these “Colorfill” beads by the pound-and for only $4.50. So here is the quick & easy tutorial for this handy (& fab!) brush holder. Continue reading “How-To: Create a Makeup Brush Holder”
How-To: The Braided Bun
I’ll admit that I’m an extreme latecomer to the whole “sock-bun” trend (partially because I just couldn’t fathom the thought of a sock sitting on my head all day). However, when I finally decided to give it a try, I opted for the bun ring, and immediately became hooked. But now that everyone and their mother is sporting the “sock-bun,” I thought I would give a short tutorial on how to rock the braided bun look. Continue reading “How-To: The Braided Bun”
How To: Lana Del Rey Nails
I don’t think it’s possible to google “Stiletto Nails” and not have a picture of Lana come up. (Seriously though, try it). That being said, how perfect is she? I couldn’t resist painting my nails like hers, and thought I would share my quick and easy tutorial on how to achieve this design.
