The Essie Spring 2015 Flowerista Collection featured six brand new shades, and Flowerista happened to be the namesake and the color I thought I would give a try. Continue reading “Review: Essie Flowerista [Essie Spring 2015 Collection]”

Review: Essie Comfy in Cashmere Nail Polish [Cashmere Matte Collection]

Essie’s recently released Cashmere Matte Collection features six new gorgeous neutral shades with satin-matte finishes. The namesake of the collection, “Comfy in Cashmere” was my favorite of the bunch – and I have swatches to show you why! Essie Topless & Barefoot Nail Polish – Review & Swatches
Ok remember when I said I swore by American Apparel’s ‘Mannequin’ nude nail polish? Well I still do, BUT I have discovered a new shade that is just as fabulous. Essie’s ‘Topless & Barefoot’ nail polish was released in the ‘A French Affair’ collection in 2011, but has since been re-featured in new Essie shelf displays – which is how I came across it. Dupe: Essie Ballet Slippers VS. L’Oreal How Romantic Nail Polish
When I bought L’Oreal’s ‘How Romantic’ nail polish I didn’t even realize that it was so identical to Essie’s ‘Ballet Slippers’ until I stored it on my on-display style nail polish shelf. I thought this would be a great dupe post since ‘Ballet Slippers’ is one of Essie’s most coveted shades. Even Queen Elizabeth herself refuses to wear any color BUT Ballet Slippers on her very royal nails (see here). Continue reading “Dupe: Essie Ballet Slippers VS. L’Oreal How Romantic Nail Polish”

Dupe: Essie Leading Lady vs. Essie Toggle To The Top
Hello my lovely readers! So I’ve done a couple dupe posts now and I’m not quite sure if I want to categorize them as so. Many people think as ‘dupes’ as similar products for a lower price point, and so far the products I have compared are within the same brand or price range. Although dupe is not one of my favorite words, it will have to do for now! Onto the review! Continue reading “Dupe: Essie Leading Lady vs. Essie Toggle To The Top”
Review: Essie Parka Perfect [Essie Winter 2013 Collection]
Essie’s recently released Winter 2013 collection featured six new colors of four warm and two cooler toned shades. ‘Parka Perfect‘ was an interesting addition to the winter collection because pastels are normally released in the summer and spring months. However, this particular shade surprisingly works (and well!) for the chilly season. Continue reading “Review: Essie Parka Perfect [Essie Winter 2013 Collection]”
