Review: Essie Comfy in Cashmere Nail Polish [Cashmere Matte Collection]

Essie’s recently released Cashmere Matte Collection features six new gorgeous neutral shades with satin-matte finishes. The namesake of the collection, “Comfy in Cashmere” was my favorite of the bunch – and I have swatches to show you why!

I honestly can’t help but drool over this color, it’s simply absolute perfection. Mauve is hands-down the color of the moment, so “Comfy in Cashmere” has already won with it’s color choice. This particular shade has a satin-matte finish like the rest of the collection, but is one of the four with an added shimmer. I usually don’t prefer shimmer polishes but in this case, it adds dimension to the matte finish, and really catches your eye!

According to Essie, ‘Comfy in Cashmere’ is described as a mauve with deep velvet undertones. Upon really looking at the color, it’s sort of like a mauve-toned taupe, with blue shimmer undertones. It’s definitely very velvet-like, as described in the official description.
