How-To: Create a Makeup Brush Holder

Makeup Brush Holder

I’m assuming if you’ve ever stepped foot in a Sephora store, you KNOW where I got the idea for this DIY brush holder! All of the Sephora brand brushes and other beauty accessories are on display in little jars filled with tons of tiny beads that allow for the product to stand up-right. Well, it just so happens that Michaels Arts & Crafts store carries these “Colorfill” beads by the pound-and for only $4.50. So here is the quick & easy tutorial for this handy (& fab!) brush holder.

What you’ll need:

what you'll need

1. Small Jar ($0.99 at Michaels or a general craft store)

2. Beaded accent ($0.99 at Michaels)

3. Colorfill Decorative Accents (1 lb) ($4.50 at Michaels)

This project is super easy-I really don’t even need to list out the steps. You can either super glue the accent of your choice onto the rim of the jar, or just wrap it around and tie in the back. Once that’s done, fill the jar with the beads or “vase filler” and voila! Add the brushes you use everyday or all of them if your jar is larger. It not only protects your brushes from getting damaged in a makeup bag but reduces the getting ready process because you won’t be digging around for the brushes you need! (So guilty of this!)

How do you organize your makeup brushes? Have you used the vase filler for displaying your brushes? Let me know in the comments below 🙂
