Travel Carry-on Beauty Essentials

Travel Carry-On Beauty Essentials
Over the years, the rules and regulations of carry-on luggage have become increasingly strict. Fitting all of your essentials into the limited space is hard enough, let alone finding products that don’t exceed the 3 oz size restriction. Well not to worry because I have found a list of beauty products that are not only compact but also comply with airline standards.

The Products

1. Rohto Cooling Eye Drops ($45)
Whether you wear contacts or not, dry and itchy eyes are not uncommon – especially when you’re spending hours 30,000 in the air. The Rohto Cooling Eye Drops will not only soothe your eyes up to 8 hours, but will also whiten and relieve redness. The unique formula comes packaged in a cute and mini clear bottle that offers a non-squirting, one-drop dispenser. I began wearing contacts about 6 months ago, and so there is never a time I leave the house without these life-saving drops. Buy at Walgreens.com.

2. Josie Maran 100 percent Pure Argan Oil 1.7 oz ($48)
High altitudes associated with flying are known to dry out skin, and Josie Maran’s Argan Oil is a must-have on this type of travel. The 100% pure Argan Oil is rich in Vitamin E to deeply hydrate dry skin. There are tons of argan oils on the market, but I have always preferred Josie Maran’s. The multitasking formula not only hydrates skin but conditions and aids in antiaging. What’s great about this argan oil is that it can be used on skin as well as hair and cuticles. The Josie Maran Argan Oil is available in 3 different sizes, but the 1.7 oz is perfect for a trip! Buy at Sephora.com.

3. Burt’s Bees Cleansing Towelettes ($5.99)
One of my favorite beauty essentials to bring with me while traveling is makeup removing wipes. The Burt’s Bees Cleansing Towelettes are my favorite because they come in a variety of scents, and are super gentle on my skin. The scent I have included in this list is the popular ‘Pink Grapefruit’, as it just seems fitting for a tropical or Summer vacay. Buy at Drugstore.com.

4. Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo 1.6oz ($2.99)
The last thing anyone wants to do on vacation is spend hours washing/drying their hair. Dry shampoo is a must, and the Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo is my personal favorite. Spray the formula onto roots and then some through the middle sections before brushing it through the entirety of your hair. It will leave your unwashed hair feeling instantly fresh and absorb any grease that was weighing hair down. This dry shampoo is available in scented or unscented, depending on your preference. Buy at Ulta.com.

5. Clarity Rx Take It Off™ Gentle MakeUp Remover 2 oz ($14.50)
Bringing along a makeup remover is a must. Right now, I’m obsessed with the Clarity RX Take It Off Remover not only for it’s oil-free formula, but that it leaves my skin feeling cool and refreshed after applying. This quality is super important to areas around the eye that are sensitive and delicate, as they shouldn’t be rubbed with a cloth or harsh exfoliator. The Clarity Makeup Remover is available in a 2 oz bottle, so it meets the 3 oz carry-on luggage requirement and also won’t take up much space in your makeup bag! Buy at clarityclinicalskincare.com.

6. Lancome La Vie Est Belle Rollerball ($25)
The last thing you want to happen is to pack up your favorite and expensive perfume, only to have to dump it out once you arrive at airport security. Rollerball perfumes are the perfect size to bring on a trip, and right now one of my favorite rollerball fragrances is the Lancome La Vie Est Belle. The joyful feminine fragrance contains notes of Iris, patchouli, and sweet gourmand. The opening notes of Iris are said to blossom from the first notes to the last gourmand notes like never before. The compact size of the rollerball is perfect for packing in a makeup bag, and is also a lot more affordable than buying a standard size perfume. Buy at Ulta.com.

7. BED HEAD Mini 1/2″ Ceramic Straightener ($19.99)
Straighteners and curling wands can take up tons of space, leaving you less room for other essentials in your carry-on luggage. Thankfully, Bed Head has designed a line of mini 1/2″ straighteners that will literally fit in a small purse. The iron heats up to 400 degrees in a fast 30 seconds. The Bed Head Straightener also comes with a handy heat-resistant drawstring storage pouch. The Bed Head Mini collection also features a crimper and 1 inch straightener. Buy at BedHeadStyling.com.

8. Coconut Oil Hand Cream 2.1 oz ($2.95)
Last but certainly not least, the Coconut Oil Hand Cream is a must-have on long flights and vacations! Compared to all other areas of skin, hands tend to dry out the most. As I mentioned earlier, the high altitudes of planes tends to dry out skin, and one of my favorite products to nourish dry hands is the Palmer’s Coconut Oil Hand Cream. The unique formula is infused with Tiaré flower petals and other natural ingredients that lock in moisture and softens the skin’s texture. I find that this hand cream keeps my hands hydrated for much longer than other lotions, especially ones that contain perfumes. The Palmer’s Coconut Oil collection also features a variety of other products including a body cream, body oil, and body wash that all are amazing travel essentials. Buy at Palmers.com.
