Nude lipstick can be a deceiving term. The best way to understand the concept behind nude lipstick is to not take the term “nude” too literally. The right shade will depend on your skin tone, and there’s no need to worry because I have compiled a list of the shades that flatter each type of skin tone. If you have fairer skin like me, I recommend trying any of my top 5 choices shown above. Continue reading “Top 5 Nude Lipsticks”
Review: Essie’s “Leading Lady”
As I mentioned in a previous review of Essie’s “Butler Please,” the other color I love in their Winter 2012 collection is “Leading Lady.” This color reminds me of Dorothy’s shoes from The Wizard of Oz and just Christmas time in general. I already can’t wait to paint my nails again with this color in December. Continue reading “Review: Essie’s “Leading Lady””
The Cinderella Collection at Sephora
Remember when I said I was excited for the Marilyn Monroe collection for MAC? Sorry Mar, but this collection takes the CAKE. Adorned with Swarovski crystals, the “So this is love” perfume makes for the most princess-like beauty buy I’ve seen in quite some time. How To: Cartoon Character Nails
We all know that moment where we have all the nail polish, tools, and art pens all ready to create a masterpiece on our nails, but despite having everything we need in front of us, the inspiration is missing. Chanel Velvet Mat Top Coat
I recently bought Chanel’s Beauté Des Ongles Top Coat Velvet and as cliché as it sounds, I have to say it was love at first sight! I was mesmerized at how quickly the gloss turned the whole nail into the perfect matte finish I had imagined. Continue reading “Chanel Velvet Mat Top Coat”
How To: Determine Your Face Shape
When determining your face shape, there’s no need to get out a ruler and pen. It’s fairly simple to figure out what facial shape you have, and keep in mind your face can even be considered more than one shape. But the reason it’s important to understand the symmetry of your face is so you can choose hair and makeup styles that accentuate your best features.
