My Hair Essentials
After a long battle of trying to decide whether I should let my hair grow or keep cutting it above my shoulders, I finally decided to let it get long again. Over the past year, my hair has grown exponentially and I have amassed an assortment of new hair essentials that I couldn’t wait to share with all of you!

The Products

1. Tresemme Thick & Full Pro Collection Balm ($4.99)
When styling your hair, it’s important to find products that have added benefits beyond just keeping your hair in place. That is why I have included the Tresemme Thick & Full Pro Collection Balm in my roundup! Formulated with Glycerol, this balm penetrates and expands hair fibers for a thicker, fuller look. This paraben-free balm also contains a mixture of styling polymers and texturizing waxes that give hair the right grip and lift needed for long-lasting styles. Buy at TARGET.

2. Marc Anthony Bye.Bye Frizz Protecting Leave-In Conditioner ($8.99)
In addition to using regular conditioner in the shower, I also love to use the Marc Anthony Frizz Protecting Leave-In Conditioner. I have natural frizz throughout my hair, so when it’s longer there’s more of it to tame! This leave-in conditioner has a lightweight, humidity-resistant formula that detangles and hydrates strands to reduce split-ends and breakage. This attribute is very important to me since I’m in the process of growing my hair out, and don’t want to continue cutting inches off due to breakage. Buy at ULTA or AMAZON.

3. Goody Hair Brush ($6.89)
Goody has always been one of my favorite brands in the hair product market so of course I had to include my favorite brush in this list! The Goody Hair Brush has a wonderful ergonomic handle design that is very comfortable to use when I’m blowdrying my hair. The nylon bristles help to lift hair at the roots and provide additional volume as the thermal barrel heats up. Buy at TARGET.

4. Gamma + Italia Aria Hairdryer ($149.95)
I was recently introduced to Italian haircare brand, Gamma+ Italia, and could not wait to share my experience with their products with you all! They have a wide assortment of hairdryers, but my personal favorite is the Gamma+ Italia Aria hairdryer. This ultra-light hairdryer was built around the breakthrough project of the air path and cutting-edge components that allows for exceptional performance with the maximum lightness achievable today (which is approxiamtely 13.4 oz). I also love how much more silent this hairdryer is than other ones I’ve used. It’s much more relaxing to blowdry my hair when it isn’t projecting a high-pitched noise like so many blowdryers on the market tend to do. One last thing I want to mention about the Gamma+ Italia Aria Hairdryer is the tourmaline-coated grid, which ionizes the air to revitalize hair, leaving a healthy shine finish. Weight: 13.4 oz. Buy at GAMMAPLUSNA.

5. Alterna Bond Repair Leave-In Heat Protection Spray ($32)
Because I blowdry and use other heating tools on my hair, I rely on the Alterna Bond Repair Leave-In Heat Protection Spray. I can’t stress enough how important it is to use a good heat protection spray on your hair, especially if you are trying to avoid breakage and split ends. The Alterna Bond Leave-In Heat Protection Spray is a lightweight, vitamin-enriched protectant spray that repairs and prevents heat/styling damage up to 99 percent. Containing caviar bond enforcing technology, this spray protects strands from heat while also helping to strengthen and smooth hair. The protective barrier that it creates helps to prevent split ends, breakage, and frizz. I also highly recommend trying the other products in this line of Alterna products! Buy at SEPHORA.

6. SEVEN Gazar Diamond Serum ($29)
If you’ve been keeping up with all of my hair product recommendations, then you already know how much I love the SEVEN brand. I am currently obsessed with their Gazar Diamond Serum for keeping my hair hydrated while I grow it out. This serum can be applied to wet or dry hair, but I mostly use it after showering when my hair is wet or damp. Containing macadamia nut seed oil, this serum also helps to remove dryness and frizz by sealing in moisture into hair while adding a hint of shimmer! This serum is also scented with persimmon pear – Mmmm! Buy at 7HAIRCARE.

7. Keranique Micro-Exfoliating Follicle Revitalizing Mask ($45)
If you are like me and suffer from thinning hair, then you MUST try Keranique. I am currently using their shampoo & conditioner, but heavily rely on their Micro-Exfoliating Follicle Revitalizing Mask which has so far shown the most noticeable results in my journey to grow thicker, more healthy hair. Throughout many years of dying my hair, I have definitely noticed how much thinner my hair has become over time and I could not wait to try these products when I heard that they are scientifically formualted to address fine, thinning, and breakage-prone hair. To use this revitalizing mask, simply dampen or mist your hair with water, then apply the mask to your scalp with a gentle massage (before shampooing). Put a shower cap on and let the mask soak in for about 10 minutes, and then rinse. The brand states that this mask can be used 1-2 times per week as a deep treatment, so I set aside 2 days in the week to make sure I don’t forget to use this. Since using this mask, I have noticed a huge difference in the thickness and overall appearance of my hair. Buy at NORDSTROM.
