As you all know, I’ve been working on dupe posts for all of Kylie’s lipkits. I recently came across many comments on my Instagram asking if MAC’s ‘Instigator’ was a dupe for the luscious ‘Kourt K’ shade. Because I own both ‘Kourt K’ and ‘Instigator’, I thought I would compare the two to see how similar they really are.
The Swatches
So let’s first begin by noting the first key difference in the two. ‘Kourt K’ is a liquid lipstick that dries matte, and ‘Instigator’ is a regular matte lipstick (not liquid). ‘Instigator’ has a much more purple tone, while ‘Kourt K’ is closer to a wine shade. Although they’re very similar, I wouldn’t consider them dupes – but rather an alternative if you’re looking for a more affordable and easier-to-buy version of ‘Kourt K’.
