Tarte has several bronzer formulas in their lineup, but two of the most popular are the Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer and the park ave princess™ matte face & body bronzer. If you’ve been trying to decide between a radiant bronzer and a matte bronzer, here’s a closer look at the formulas + finishes, along with side-by-side swatches.
Amazonian clay waterproof bronzer | Shop at Tarte.

The Amazonian Clay Bronzer has a luminous shimmer finish that gives skin a bronzed, summer glow. The waterproof formula helps it wear especially well throughout the day, making it a great option for long wear or warmer weather makeup. On the skin, this bronzer creates a radiant sunkissed effect rather than a sculpted matte look.
park ave princess™ matte face & body bronzer | Shop at Tarte.

The park ave princess™ matte bronzer has a soft matte finish that leans more natural and sculpting on the skin. Compared to the waterproof bronzer, this formula looks more natural and softly diffused. The powder is smooth, buildable, and easy to blend, making it ideal for everyday bronzing or subtle contouring. Since there’s no shimmer, it gives more of a blurred bronze effect.
Swatches
The swatches above show the difference in both tone and finish between the two bronzers. The waterproof bronzer catches the light beautifully, while Park Ave Princess gives a more understated bronzed effect. You can also pair them together by using Park Ave Princess to softly sculpt the face and layering the waterproof bronzer on top for extra warmth and glow.
