Summer 2015 Beauty Essentials
Lately I’ve been posting a lot about Summer 2015 beauty product launches, so it got me to thinking about my must-haves for the season. Summer is all about bright colors, bronzed glows, and staying hydrated/moisturized, so I’ve compiled a list of beauty essentials that you’re guaranteed to love just as much as I do!

The Essentials

Benefit The POREfessional License to Blot: Blotting papers are great and all but Benefit’s oil-blotting stick is much easier to use and certainly more convenient to just throw in your purse. It’s triangular tip targets the most shiny areas of the face (nose, forehead, and chin), and mattifies shine to give you a smooth and flawless finish.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20: With Summer’s harmful UV rays, it’s so important to protect your skin – with an SPF of 15 or higher. So swap out your usual foundation for Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer, which not only hydrates skin but gives you a healthy dewy glow. I’m usually all for a matte finish (nails, lipstick, you name it..), but for Summer I always prefer a little shine!

Make Up For Ever HD Cream Blush: Cream blushes are essential for Summer, and Make Up For Ever HD Cream Blushes Melt right on your skin for a natural flush of color. Not to mention they offer such a wide variety of colors, you’ll be sure to find one that’s perfect for you.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Colors: The Sally Hansen Insta-Dri nail collection recently released a set of all new colors for Spring/Summer that have an improved formula and colors that reflect the season’s runway trends. My personal favorites are “Cherry Fast” and “Re-teal Therapy.” Summer is all about the bright colors, and these two couldn’t be more fitting for the warmer temperatures.

Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Color: It’s time to put away the wine and burgundy shades and add a bright pop-of-color to your lipstick collection. I love the Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colors because they are so rich in color and have a semi-lustrous finish. This particular shade pictured in the photo is “Fresh Raspberry”, a bright and clean mauvey-pink that will instantly brighten up your look.

Sally Hansen Airbrush Sun Gradual Tanning Lotion: I personally prefer a self-tanner to tanning naturally under the Sun’s harmful UV rays so I can’t live without Sally Hansen’s Tanning lotion! I love that it’s a gradual tan, because it doesn’t give me the streaks that other instant tanning sprays can leave. The formula (which comes in two shades), leaves your skin with a gorgeous bronzed glow that has just the right amount of color.

Philip B. Rejuvenating Oil: Spending more time with the sun can really dry out your hair, and the Philip B. Rejuvenating Oil is the perfect hydrating oil to restore and renew your damaged locks. The oil sinks into the hair strand to plump it from the inside out. You only need a tiny amount of it to distribute through your hair so this bottle will last you a long time!

Ban Total Refresh Cooling Body Cloths: If there’s one product I can’t leave the house without in the Summer, it’s these Ban Refresh Body Cloths. I live in NYC so I’m often on the go and these refreshing body cloths are so handy to have, especially since they have a cooling effect.

Obagi Professional Sun Care SPF 30: There’s no way I would have left an SPF sunscreen off this list! The Obagi Sun Care is formulated with 10% L-ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), which protects skin from free radicals and also leaves it feeling soft and grease-free. I personally like this sunscreen better than just any average sunscreen because it doesn’t leave my skin super oily like many sunscreens on the market, and is also working to keep my skin feeling even softer than before.

So there you have it! What are some of your Summer beauty essentials? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂
