Wet n Wild Megalast in Wet Cement – Review & Swatches

Wet n Wild Megalast in Wet Cement

Lately, I’ve been trying to broaden my horizons in the world of beauty – and not just stick to my favorite brands. I’ve always had this notion that the price oftentimes determined quality. But this is certainly not always the case, as I have discovered with my new wet n wild products. Wet n Wild’s Megalast nail color line certainly lives up to it’s name – being long lasting.

Wet n Wild Megalast nail color in 201C “Wet Cement” is a mix of dark grey, brown, and eggplant purple. It’s a very unique color, often referred to as a “greige” (mix of grey and beige).

The brush on this line of nail polishes has had somewhat mixed reviews because it’s much thicker and wider than most are used to. I wouldn’t say it’s a con because I believe it’s a personal preference whether you prefer a thicker or thinner brush. This particular brush made me think of Sally Hansen brushes that are more dense and as a result, make it easier to apply the polish. I’m certainly not an expert nail polish applyer, but because I am used to doing it, I didn’t find it difficult to use this brush. However, if you do find it difficult to use this brush, I wouldn’t recommend applying it yourself because it will come out streaky due to the number of brush strokes.

Some other things I noticed with Wet n Wild’s “Wet Cement” was that it was fast drying (+), did not chip easily (+), and had a thick formula that only required 1-2 coats (+). Also, let’s not forget the desirable price tag of $2.29 (USD)! Have you tried any of the Wet n Wild Megalast nail colors? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂

  1. I love these nail polishes, they are such a steal. I have one in Sugarcoat, which is a pinkish nude shade that I get compliments on all the time. Glad to see you like them too!
