Review: YSL Rouge Volupté in “Lingerie Pink”

YSL Rouge Volupte Lingerie Pink

As every makeup-lover knows, baby pink lipstick is just as much a staple piece as a timeless red. However, sometimes it can be quite difficult to find the perfect lipstick that works best for you. With numerous brands, shades, finishes, and color variations, it’s hard to even know where to start, so it’s important to do your research beforehand! This leads me to my review on YSL’s Rouge Volupté lipstick in “Lingerie Pink.”

After grazing the pages of Marie Claire a few years ago, I was immediately fixated on the lipstick worn in this particular editorial (see here). Thankfully, they credited the brand (YSL) within the description, and I bought it shortly after.

I love how “Lingerie Pink” is that perfect shade of baby pink. It has cooler undertones, making it flattering on most complexions. It also doesn’t hurt that the bottle is just as pretty as the lipstick color. (Ignore the scratches, I’ve had it for a minute!)

This particular lipstick is very creamy, making it not last as long as a matte lipstick. But because it is so creamy, it also doesn’t require the application of a gloss. So when it comes down to deciding, it’s all about what you’re looking for, and what factors are most important to you! You can buy this particular lipstick here.

Let me know which baby pinks you like, and your thoughts on creamy vs. matte lipsticks 🙂

  1. i saw this at sephora the other day and fell in love but the price ahh! is there any others that you would recomment that are similar?

    1. I would definitely recommend Revlon’s “Pink Pout” and “Wink for Pink.” As for similar colors in MAC…definitely try “Snob.” I hope this helps! ^_^
