Review: Cargo Cosmetics Swimmables Matte Liquid Lipstick

Happy Sunday, my loves! I have a new cosmetics brand that I’m so excited to share. Launched in 1966, Cargo Cosmetics is a professional makeup line of innovative and creative products with a nod to the traveling free spirits. As said by the award winning brand, “The journey is just as important as the destination.” Cargo Cosmetics carries a wide variety of makeup products, including a line of matte liquid lipsticks that I have reviewed and swatched for all of you! Without saying too much more, let’s begin the review!

The Formula

Swatches

Cape Town is a great daytime shade or even to wear to work. This shade also has cool pink undertones that give the nude hue a little boost of color.

Sorrento was inspired by the Italian seaside town (Sorrento), and is a dark berry hue that is a great shade to wear for a fun night out.

Overall Review

I absolutely loved the formula of these lipsticks. I only needed one coat for the swatches that I did above, and the formula’s creamy texture made it super easy to work with and to blend in. Also, when I went to wash the swatches off of my arm, it took a lot of oil-based makeup remover & cotton balls. So they passed the transfer-proof test! These lipsticks definitely live up to their description that they stay on all day long. So if you’re looking for a lipstick that won’t smudge or come off during dinner or a night out, I would highly recommend these liquid lipsticks. As of now, they only have 6 shades in this particular lipstick line, but I am definitely looking forward to the brand expanding into even more shade varieties since the formula is so awesome and unique from many other liquid lipsticks on the market.
