Memorial Day Beauty Essentials
Memorial Day weekend is kicking off Summer ’16 (queue Drake), and spending time in the great outdoors. Whether you’ll be escaping to a vacation beach spot or just soaking up the sun in your town, I have compiled a list of all the beauty essentials you can’t leave your house without!

The Products

1. Scunci Hair & Body Tattoos ($4.99)
It’s safe to say that body art and temporary tattoos are totally in right now and the Scunci Hair & Body Tattoos are a must-have for this Memorial Day! This set contains two sheets of metallic shimmery designs that go on as easily as they off. Buy at ULTA.

2. Nexxus Refreshing Mist Dry Shampoo ($11.99)
One of the most essential beauty items to pack with you on a trip is dry shampoo, and the last thing you want to worry about is washing out your natural beach waves on Memorial Day weekend. The Nexxus Refreshing Mist Dry Shampoo is one of my favorite and highly-recommended dry shampoos as it’s super lightweight and is formulated to extend the life of voluminous styles. It also has a light, fragrant scent of floral, cherry blossom, and white coconut notes. Buy at Target.

3. Lancôme Flash Bronzer Transfer-Resistant Self-Tanning Lotion ($42)
If you’re like me and don’t prepare for a weekend in the sun by baking in a tanning bed, then you must try Lancome’s Flash Bronzer Self-Tanning Lotion. The formula features DHA and Natural Caramel extracts that gives you a perfect golden glow in just 30 minutes. I have tried countless self-tanners and so trust me when I say that the Lancome Flash Bronzer is a godsend. It lasts up to 5 days and also provides a moisturizing and radiant glow. Buy at Bloomingdales.

4. Sun Bum SPF 30 Original Sunscreen Lotion ($40)
Probably the most essential item on this list is the Sun Bum SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion. Protecting your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays is a no-brainer, but it’s also important to find a sunscreen that has other skin benefits too. The Sun Bum lotion is enriched with Vitamin E, which is an antioxidant that helps to neutralize free radicals which are the main cause of skin aging. Buy at Drugstore.com.

5. CrazySmooth Extreme Shine Treatment Oil ($45)
Skin is not the only part of your body that can dry out from the sun. Your hair is especially sensitive to the harmful side-effects of the sunshine that we’ll all be soaking under this Memorial Day. So if you want to keep your hair shiny and nourished all holiday-weekend long, you must bring the CrazySmooth Extreme Shine Treatment Oil with you! It’s feather-light formula is blended with Camellia Oil, seaweed, and Vitamin E that restores and repairs hair to it’s healthiest condition. It’s also non-greasy and offers heat protection – so it’s the perfect essential for this Summer holiday weekend. Buy at sold exclusively in salons and spas nationwide.

6. Young Blood Lipstick in “Vixen” ($19)
Let’s not forget the patriotic colors of Memorial Day – red, white, and blue. One of the best lipstick colors to compliment a bronzed glow is red lipstick – and the Young Blood “Vixen” lipstick is the perfect warm-toned red. The formula of this lipstick is also super moisturizing, and I found the color to last a lot longer than some of my other lipsticks. Buy at Dermstore.com.

7. Lauren B. Beauty Nail Lacquer in “Malibu Beach” ($18)
So now that you know how to incorporate red into your beauty regime for Memorial Day, it’s time to bring out the blue! As you know if you follow my blog, I’m obsessed with the Lauren B. Beauty brand, as they have an endless amount of amazing nail lacquers and other nail products as well. The “Malibu Beach” shade is the perfect shade of blue to pay homage to our nation’s colors.
