Review: MAC Nude Lipsticks

MAC Nude Lipsticks

Back in my early blogging days, I did a post on the top five nude lipsticks. I have since tried the majority of nude lipsticks by MAC and wanted to share with you my top five. Ranging from frost to cremesheen to satin, I’m compiled a list of the best nude lipsticks for every occasion!

MAC Nude Lipsticks

Fleshpot (satin):
MAC’s Fleshpot is an extremely fleshy nude (hence the name!). It has a satin, or semi matte finish and is highly pigmented. I personally love Fleshpot, and oftentimes pair it with a pink gloss like NARS “Turkish Delight.” Because of it’s pink undertones, it works really well with a pink gloss overtop or just by itself. Fleshpot is a great color to pair with smokey eyes and when going out. It certainly stands out from other nude colors. Fleshpot is also very similar to “Madere” by NARS. The only difference is the finish, so if you are looking for a solid matte version of Fleshpot, go with Madere! Buy Fleshpot at ULTA, AMAZON or NORDSTROM.

Myth (satin):

Like Fleshpot, Myth is also a satin finish. Myth is similar to Fleshpot but is slightly more peachy pink. Myth is a huge seller for MAC, and it’s easy to see why. It isn’t as flesh toned as Fleshpot but still is light enough to mute out the natural color of your lips. It offers a great full coverage and because of the satin finish, it’s not even necessary to wear any gloss with it. Buy Myth at ULTA, AMAZON or NORDSTROM,

MAC Myth Lipstick

Creme d’ Nude (CremeSheen):

Creme d’ Nude is a cremesheen, or creme based lipstick with a bright full color and supple shine. Creme d’ Nude is another best seller for MAC. Creme d’ Nude is a pink toned fleshy nude that has somewhat of a shine finish, unlike Myth. Creme d’ Nude is great for everyday wear because it doesn’t require a lot of maintenance like Fleshpot or Myth might. Fleshpot and Myth are very light colors and also are semi matte so they need to be applied more carefully and also paired with a gloss depending on how they work with your skin tone. Buy Creme d’ Nude at AMAZON, ULTA or NORDSTROM.

MAC Creme d' Nude Lipstick

Hue (Frost):

Hue is a subtle pinky nude with a frosted shimmer finish. It looks more pink on me because I have naturally more pigmented lips. On others, it may look more nude. Hue is another great color for every day because it doesn’t have too much pigment in it, so it doesn’t need to be carefully applied like Myth & Fleshpot. Buy Hue at AMAZON or ULTA.

MAC Hue Lipstick

Creme Cup (cremesheen):

Creme Cup is a blue-toned pale pink. I like to line my lips first with MAC’s lip pencil in “Naked” which is a nude shade so that it doesn’t appear so pink like in the picture below. It looks more like a pinky nude when you have lighter pigmented lips. Buy Creme Cup at AMAZON, ULTA or NORDSTROM.
